The 29-year-old East Londoner, took on the defending champion Amantle Montsho in an a showdown that found the two watching the results board to see who had won the gold medal for their countries.
Ohuruogu had a great start but the race, but the first 200m didn't look promising. The strong athlete in her came out its shell on the home straight and her dip on the line had us on the edge of our seats to see if she had stolen back her shine.
