Nas collaborates with Jace Lipstein on Illmatic streetwear collection.


Hip-Hop meets fashion is nothing new. Right now we sure couldn't get enough of it, with almost every current male rapper collaborating with designers or promoting their gear. It's almost sickening! This time round its rap legend, Nas, arguably the best rapper of all time.

Stepping out of his comforts zone Nas has teamed up with Jace Lipstein, the founder of men’s street style blog Grungy Gentleman. The 33-piece collection neatly called HSTRY, and is an ensemble of leather trimmed items including shirts, bags, baseball caps and outerwear. The collection also includes flannel shirts, and neoprene peacoats.

Speaking on his fashion endeavour Nas said:

Clothes represent happiness. They’re our protection — even a reflection of what’s in our heads, our thoughts and ideas. Hence the phrase, ‘wearing our hearts on our sleeves.’ With HSTRY, I’m embracing our greatest moments recorded in time in the form of premium street fashion.

Speaking on the Nas' decision making Jace said:

He knew what he wanted — he wanted bomber jackets and he pushed for the flannel. He’s a very intelligent guy and he’s willing to learn — he’s not a know-it-all.

The look of the clothing line is contemporary, cool and totally Illmatic; and each item will definitely be on the wish lists of lads through the land! The collection will be available on the Grungy Gentleman style blog from August 1.

Tom Ford is 'flattered' by Jay-Z naming a full song after him.


Last week, rap royalty Jay-Z released his critically acclaimed 12th studio album Magna Carta Holy Grail. One of the most talked about tracks, 'Tom Ford', fittingly named after the iconic fashion designer and film director.

Rihanna is set to executive produce a brand new reality TV show called Styled To Rock for Sky Living HD. The show will see 12 upcoming British designers over the course of 10 weeks compete, for the grand prize of designing an outfit for the superstar to perform in.

Nicole Opens Westfield Stratford City

A couple hours ago, Nicole Scherzinger performed at the official opening of Westfield Stratford City in East London; which has now become Europes largest urban shopping centre. She graced the crowds with a few stunning outfits and a performance or two. The former Pussycat Doll now solo artist was introduced on stage by singer and host of the event Pixie Lott and TV presenter Nick Grimshaw. London's mayor Borris Johnson was also there to cut open the ribbon to London's the new gateway to the olympic park. Nicole performed a few cuts from her debut album Killer Love that was released back in March of this year. The red hair seems to be BANG on trend at the moment. I've always loved red, purple and dark blue hair but just because it's in doesn't mean I'm in too !! It seems though that Beyonce feels the need to be in the in crowd right about know, since she's a bit ghost at the moment. So she's gone for the Rihanna look, like totally. Now, now to be honest I'm not really Beyoncé ANYWHOO...The songstress and her hubby Jay-Z video have landed in LA after their trip to and boy that are on it. The pair literally stepped of the runway onto a invisible one in the airport, as they modelled off their hot garms. I just had to find out where those KILLA canvas boots from !! I found out that these fabulous 5 inch heeled, peep toed, fold over hotties are designed by the late great Alexander McQueen !! Boy I tell you these are great for the summer, and if you're not a girly girl with the pink steeletos #nshit these are just BRILLIANT !! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT !!
