What are we to expect at Beyonce's highly anticipated Super Bowl XLVII half time show?

The day many of us have been waiting for has finally arrived, game day. The Super Bowl XLVII will be taking place tonight (11pm GMT), and that means its highly anticipated half time show will be going ahead as planned, but what are we to expect?

Last year saw Madonna perform a combination of her classics such as 'Vogue' and her latest song at the time, 'Give Me All Your Luvin' featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, she was also joined by Cee Lo Green and LMFAO. This year we are set to see the bootylicious Beyonce take the stage for an epic return to the music arena.

Since the news broke about Beyonce's comeback performance, the rumour mill has been spinning like mad. Only tonight will clear up those rumours but we still have time to speculate what will happen.

Will Destiny's Child reunite?
Last month, Destiny's Child reunited on a brand new track called 'Nuclear', which lead to many sources confirming that Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams would join Bey on stage to perform a medley of their hits, including their new song. Michelle shut down those rumours recently speaking to MTV News, as she is currently starring in a Broadway production. However, this week a statement was released noting that her she'll be missing some of those shows up until February 3! The rumours may be true after all!

Will Bey perform new music?
After opening the show, King Bey is expected to run though some SC hits whereby her band mates are rumoured to join her. Surrounded with 50 lucky fans, she is then expected to end the show solo with her unannounced first single, from her upcoming fifth studio album.

Will she actually be singing?
With her recent lip-syncing ordeal at the inauguration still in the limelight, everyone will surely be carefully watching Beyonce tonight. Speaking at a press conference in New Orleans on Thursday she stated that she will be performing without the assistance of a pre-recorded backing track:

I will absolutely be singing live [on Sunday]. I am well-rehearsed and I will be singing live. This is what I was born to do. Like I said, I've had a 16-year career and all of the things that I've done has prepared me for this. So I'm ready. I love haters. No shame, no hate.
The Baltimore Ravens will take on San Francisco 49ers at 47th Super Bowl on BBC2 tonight at 11pm.
