The Annual MOBO Awards returns to London, October 22!

It's back, as am I. The annual MOBO Awards return with a spanking new list of nominees. Leading the way are South London rap duo Krept & Konan, who have only released independent mixtapes, with 4 nods. They'll be up against UK rap chart toppers such as Tinie Tempah and Professor Green and favourite Sam Smith, who also has 4 nominations.

The event which started in 1996, founded by Kanya King, will also be returning to London after spending 5 years up North. Truly out with the old and in with the new, the ceremony will be broadcast on ITV for the first time, having just signed a three-year deal to broadcast on ITV2. It was previously aired on BBC Three, coverage will continue on BBC Radio.

King said of this year's event:
We are thrilled to have the Awards returning home this year, and excited to announce it will be the iconic SSE Arena, Wembley that will play host.

The show promises to be absolutely spectacular and not to be missed whilst at the same time carrying the potential to inspire a lot of young talent.

Also new to the event is the 'Inspiration Award', the first of which was handed to British Hollywood star Idris Elba, at this morning's nomination event.

The 2014 ceremony will take place at Wembley Arena on October 22. Good luck to everyone nominated!
