24 year old overnight celebrity has taken the world by storm in the Taiwanese version of American Idol, Superstar Avenue. Lin Yu Chun belted out Dolly Parton's 1973 single 'I Will Always Love You' which was made one of the best hits of all time by Whitney Houston. Video's of this supreme perfomance, Houston style has had over millions of hits per video on YouTube and else where on the net. JHEEZE !! Refered to as 'Little Fatty' which the . Lin was immediately compared to Britain's Got Talent's 48 year old overnight celebrity, Susan Boyle a.k.a SuBo - who was also judged simply by her cover. He told the AP:
"You don't have to be good-looking man or woman to succeed. Just be yourself and try your best"Being picked on because of his size and looks, Lin had a very low self-esteem, so low that he used to lock himself away and sing ballads by the likes of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. Whitney Houston's cover of 'I Will Always Love You' gave him the most confidence and comfort at these times. He also added:
"Being fat draws a lot of mockery in our society. I now have more confidence in pursing a singing career."If Lin wins the Superstar Avenue competition he will win $1 million doll-as and the opportunity to record and release an album !! Well SuBo didn't win Britain's Got Talent and she's recorded an album and is now a millionaire !!
