You've Got A Friend In Me


I'm sure upon reading the sub-heading, you read it in a particalar voice and tone. If I'm correct you would have sung in the voice of Randy NewmanWHO..? Well that's the guy who sang the song you must think of when the 1995 film Toy Story. Now you must be thinking now, that that's a little unusual in genre for this blog - but you've got to admit it classifies as a throwback. WHY.. is it this weeks throwback track..?

Well with the passing away of Steve Jobs and finding out that he was credited as an executive producer in the award winning movie and he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company (WHAT A MOUTH FULL) back in 2006 - I just thought it was well suited. Also the lyrics establish the importance of Woody in the film I think it echo's the importance of Steve's life not just to his family but to the world, through his legendary innovative creations. Check out the opening credit of the film where we are first introduced to the classic film soundtrack...
