Re-watch the 2013 BET Award live performances here.

Hosted by the one and only and very crazy Chris Tucker, the Annual 2013 BET Awards took place last night (this morning UK time) at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

The celebratory night was filled with many live performances and appearances from some of the biggest names in Black music.
Chris Brown, who took home an award, opened the awards show with a medley of new songs. Mariah Carey graced the stage and lip-synched belted out her Miguel featuring hit 'Beautiful' with the help of the R&B crooner and Young Jeezy - who has been enlisted for the most recent remix of the track.

R. Kelly delivered a much-anticipated medley of his R&B classics. Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. took the stage for their smash hit 'Blurred Lines'. Other performers included Ciara with 'I'm Out' and 'Body Party', J.Cole with 'Crooked Smile' and 'Power Trip'.

Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Erykah Badu all made appearances on stage more than once, joining their peers on tracks they featured on. The show was wrapped up with a stellar performance from Janelle Monáe with her track 'Q.U.E.E.N.'.

There where two stand-out performances of the night. The first being the Charlie Wilson tribute, which included a medley of his solo songs and some from his Gap Band days. Stevie Wonder, India.Arie covered some of his hits while Justin Timberlake, Pharrell and Snoop Lion joined him for his much-loved songs from the early noughties.

The second had to be the Reggae takeover featuring artists that have made Dancehall music the much-loved genre it is today. Dawn Penn kicked off the 5 minute segment with 'No No No', followed by Chaka Demus & Pliers with 'Murder She Wrote'. Beenie Man was then invited on stage to perform a quick medley of his most known tracks and then the "Energy God" Elephant Man was brought on stage through the crowd for 'Pon De River'.

There were video and new music premières, extended and brand new trailers of forthcoming movies and TV shows, and a few distasteful jokes from Tucker, - but all in all it was a great night - one of the best in the recent years of the award show.

The 2013 BET Awards will be repeated in the UK (after tonight) July 6 at 8pm on Sky 187, Virgin 184 and Freesat 140.

Watch and enjoy the performances below!
