Drake vs. Jamaican Tourist Board !!
Thursday, May 20, 2010The Jamaican Tourist Board is very happy with Drake !! His lastest video 'Find Your Love' was shot in Jamaica on what we call the GULLY SIDE !! The minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett told the Gleaner:
"Car has to be taken by all, including our creative artists, in portraying images of our destination and people. Gun culture while not unique to Jamaica, is not enhancing [the island's image]."
Fair enough, but Drizzy isn't the first rapper to shoot videos like this. I mean Jamaica is my country and it is understandable, but give the boy a break. YET ANOTHER MOAN ABOUT HIS VIDEOS !! His manager Julian Jones-Griffith told the Jamaican newspaper that Drake and Mavado decided it was the ideal location. He also said:
"The concept that they came up with, where did they come up with that? If Mavado did not do it, another Jamaican actor would have done it. There are broad range issues which need addressing if people from California want to portray a love story like this."Poor Drizzy, I hope this doesn't discourage his future visual ventures.
