20th Century Fox Unveils New Logo

Rupert Murdoch unveils the 20th Century Fox's successor, 21st Century Fox and its logo.

Ever heard the terminology "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" Well it has become apparent that media mogul Rupert Murdoch hasn't!

Yesterday, Murdoch unveiled the brand new logo for his new entertainment company 21st Century Fox. The change has come as part of the merging of Fox News, Fox Broadcasting and the former 20th Century Fox film studio.

In a memo to staff, Murdoch wrote:

Today I am proud to unveil our new logo, which serves as a powerful symbol of the inspiration and high bar set by our company. Like our name, the logo reflects the rich creative heritage of Twentieth Century Fox and signals the promise of the 21st century and our restless drive toward the future.

Ultimately, our new logo celebrates the powerful commitment of you and your colleagues to the excellence and innovation that will propel 21st Century Fox forward.
The new design is sleek and minimalist and what have you, but is pretty dull for the grand corporation that is Fox.

Though we've been in the 21st century for over a decade now, the logo hasn't bothered anybody up until now. The iconic logo which features a statuesque gold 3D sign with spotlights, accompanied by a drum-roll and the familiar trumpet blares will be missed dearly. Film fans, such as myself (I am very unimpressed) will be sad to old logo bow out.
