Chris ‘Mac Daddy’ Kelly, one half of 90s rap duo Kris Kross dies age 34.



It's a sad day in the world of Hip-Hop, as news has broken that Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly of 90s rap duo Kris Kross has died at age 34.

According to local Atlanta news, Kelly was found unresponsive in his home Wednesday evening, and was declared dead. The cause of his death has not been released, his autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Chris shot to fame with Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith, with their smash hit 'Jump'. The track, taken from their
debut album, Totally Krossed Out, stormed to the top of the Billboard charts, and has been Hip-Hop classic.

The duo became popular for wearing their pants backwards. They had recently reunited and performed at the So So Def 20th anniversary concert earlier this year.

Several hip-hop figures including Outkast's Big Boi, have tweeted their condolences as well as fans worldwide.

In homage of the rapper, this week's Throwback Thursday is dedicated to him. May he rest in peace.
